About Maguire
Maguire is a young and growing company whose mission is to offer high-end shoes and accessories at a fair price. We do everything from A to Z: from design, to production management, to direct sales.

Tasks
This internship will allow you to experience different facets of communications, with a main focus on supporting PR activities. Your role will help support the PR team through a variety of tasks including but not limited to;

• Media Relations; 
  • Identify, compile and update lists of relevant journalists, stylists and influencers.
  • Assist in the creation and distribution of press releases and pitches.
  • Track and report media coverage through media monitoring.
• Influencer Relations;
  • Identify and engage with influencers for collaborations via social media management.
  • Coordinate sending products to influencers and media contacts.
• Event planning;
  • Assist in developing, organizing and coordinating brand events.
  • Compile and manage guest lists for events.
  • Provide support during events, including setup, coordination, and breakdown.
    

On the communication side of things, you’ll contribute to the marketing of various products (product descriptions, organization of photoshoots, launch strategies); create and plan content for the company’s Facebook and LinkedIn; update and optimize the website; contribute to the implementation of press relations and promotional initiatives; participate in weekly team meetings and brainstorms; and any other tasks related to marketing and communications.

Desired profile

• A student in communications, marketing, advertising, public relations or any other related field;
• Excellent writing skills in French and English;
• Have a good knowledge of traditional media and social media landscape;
• Be rigorous, versatile and curious;
• Have good organizational skills and a strategic mind;
• Experience or interest in the fashion/retail industry, a plus.

Internship details

• Duration: September to December 2024
  
• Number of hours: 20-25 hours/week
  
• Schedule according to availability, in person and remote work possible, part-time;
  
• Monetary compensation and discount on products;
  
• Office located at 5365 boul. St-Laurent, in the Mile-End of Montreal.
